I recently had the opportunity to do a photoshoot for DoorDash, profiling one of their Vancouver dashers, Nusret Cosar. Nusret’s story is an inspiring one – he recently came to Canada from Turkey, where he was a pilot in the Turkish army. Seeking to escape the government propaganda, he decided to make a fresh start in Vancouver, where he’s been working part-time as a dasher while pursuing his dream of obtaining his pilot’s license.,
For the shoot, we went to one of Nusret’s favourite spots, Chickpea Restaurant @ilovechickpea in the heart of Mount Pleasant on Main street. We talked, took photos and ate delicious food. The falafel platter teleported me to the land of middle-eastern flavour. It was exceptional!
As a photographer, it’s incredibly rewarding to be able to meet different people and tell their story through images, and Nusret’s story is one that truly resonated with me. I’m grateful to @DoorDash_ca and Ruckus Digital Agency @ruckusdigital for the opportunity to work on this project.
